Data security and privacy statement

Introduction

Protecting your privacy has a high priority: Frank Polscheit adheres to a strict policy for ensuring the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information (PII), or sensitive personal information (SPI). For this reason, I have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the rules on data protection are observed by myself as well as by partners and external service providers. I want to point out, that the transmission of data over the internet may have security gaps. A 100% protection of data against access by third parties is technically not possible, yet.

Below I inform you about the collection of personal data when using my Apps and services.

Data security and privacy of my apps

I do not collect, store or process any private/sensitive information in any of my apps suitable for Atlassian products, nor do I collect, store or process any analytical or tracking data or place cookies or tracking beacons in any apps suitable for Atlassian products. All information necessary for an app like configuration data are stored locally within your Atlassian instance within custom fields or application properties. None of this data is processed outside your Atlassian instance or users' browser within your own infrastructure.

This add-on does not store any data outside your Atlassian application instance. It reads data of related fields of issues stored within your JIRA and persists data within custom fields and properties inside your Atlassian application. All modifications are traceable by the native feature of the related Atlassian application and can be audited via their history if not disabled by your individual configuration.

Licensing and Billing information

Any personal information required by the licensing and billing process is collected and processed by Atlassian. That is governed by the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use and the Atlassian Privacy Policy. As part of the reporting and analytics features provided by Atlassian to Marketplace vendors, I have access to this personal and billing informations:

  • Billing ID
  • Transaction ID
  • Contact information of the technical contact (name and e-mail address)
  • Country
  • License tier
  • Hosting type
  • Maintanance information
  • Contact information of the involved Atlassian partner

I can use this information for analysis and improvements of my apps and internal statistics. I may also use the information to contact you concerning service updates of apps for which you are listed as the technical contact. I may use 3rd party services for such analysis and communication in the future: in that case I will ensure, that a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is in place. Up to now, that's not the case at all.

Atlassian Marketplace listings

Atlassian provides marketplace vendors the possibility to integrate Google Analytics into their Marketplace apps listing pages: I does not exercise this option!

Atlassian also provides the possibility to include YouTube videos in the app listing pages. I may make use of this option in some of my app listing pages. That videos are stored on www.YouTube.com. I assume these are all included in the "extended privacy mode," which means that you do not transfer data about you as a user to YouTube if you are not playing the videos. Only when you play the videos will the following data be transmitted: I do not influence this data transfer. For more information about it, please refer to the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use and the Atlassian Privacy Policy.

Customer support

I am using Atlassian cloud offerings for JIRA and Confluence to provide and manage customer support. Customers who wish to contact my support are required to create an Atlassian ID account. Any personal information requested in the account sign up process will be collected, stored and processed by Atlassian and is governed by the Atlassian Privacy Policy. The same applies to if you sent an e-mail to the support address. This mails are forwarded to Jira and will automatically generate an Atlassian ID account for you and send an email notification to you.
